| Bill Gates is in a generous mood! That is, if you
believe this message. According to the message,
Microsoft has created an email tracking program which
enables them to track where it is being sent. It promises to pay you for each person you forward it to. The amounts vary, but in each case, the promised earnings would be substantial. There are a number of reasons this message is a hoax: First of all, it has now been forwarded so many times that even Bill Gates would be broke if he had to pay out all the promised money. Secondly, There is no such thing as an email tracking program. Lastly, wouldn't it be very scary if a company like Microsoft could access your personal data in this way? It would be very foolish of them to use this ability as they would probably be facing a huge lawsuit for stealing personal information from all the people who received the message. Bill Gates IS giving away his money, but not to me and you. He is giving it to many other worthy causes such as research into AIDS and other diseases. |
